Sony has unveiled the first theatrical trailer for Moneyball, starring Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Based on the book of the same name, the film centers on Billy Beane (Pitt) and his controversial run as general manager of the Oakland A's.
The film is directed by Bennett Miller, and will act as a follow up to his critically acclaimed 2005 effort Capote. Aaron Sorkin, who recently picked up an Oscar for The Social Network will get a screenwriting credit along with Steven Zaillian (American Gangster). Chris Pratt (Parks and Recreation) and Robin Wright (Forrest Gump) round out the cast.
Moneyball will hit theaters this fall on September 23rd.
