Universal Studios Home Entertainment will release The Eagle on Blu-ray during Summer 2011. This swords-and-sandals epic, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland, State of Play), follows a Roman centurion (Channing Tatum, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) and his slave (Jamie Bell, King Kong) as they embark on a treacherous quest to recover a military standard.
The Blu-ray will include two versions of the film: the original, PG-13-rated theatrical cut and an unrated cut exclusive to home video. In addition, The Eagle comes with a digital copy and the following special features:
