British distributors Eureka Entertainment have revealed that they are preparing a Dual Format Edition of acclaimed Japanese director Shôhei Imamura's The Ballad of Narayama (1983), starring Ken Ogata (Vengeance is Mine), Sumiko Sakamoto (The Pornographers), and Tonpei Hidari (Oar). In 1983, the film won the prestigious Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
