Deathly Hallows: Part 1 has been having a significant effect on Blu-ray sales as the results for week ending May 15 mark the fourth time in which the title managed to claim the No. 1 spot.
Potter registered an impressive 45% of total unit sales for Blu-ray. Although,
Harry Potter was the week's Blu-ray sales champ,
Justin Bieber: Never Say Never debuted as the No. 1 title in the overall package media sales chart.
Debuting No. 2 in both the Blu-ray and the overall sales chart was the romantic comedy
No Strings Attached. Starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher,
No Strings Attached, had a solid theatrical running ending with a total domestic box office of $70.7M. Gone are the days were romantic comedies would fail to reach 10% of total package media sales for Blu-ray as
No Strings received a strong 27% share for the format.
Justin Bieber: Never Say Never came in at No. 3 in the Blu-ray sales chart in its initial week of release. Bieber mania failed to take hold for Blu-ray, but the title managed a respectable 19% stake of total unit sales.
