On March 11th, a multi-year distribution deal was announced in which 20th Century Fox would handle domestic Blu-ray and DVD releases for Hollywood heavyweight Relativity Media. The third release within this agreement (following Season of the Witch and The Warrior's Way) will surface on July 19th with Limitless. The Blu-ray for the thriller starring Bradley Cooper will include an unrated extended cut of the film in addition to a making of featurette and audio commentary from director Neil Burger (The Illusionist).
Based on the 2001 novel, The Dark Fields by Alan Glynn, the movie centers on Eddie Mora (Cooper), a writer living in New York City who comes across a drug that allows him access 100 percent of his brain's power. Limitless also features performances from Australian actress Abbie Cornish and Robert De Niro. The film opened #1 back in March, beating out Paul and The Lincoln Lawyer with a weekend gross of $19 million.
