Recently restored by Bavaria Media, legendary Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski's cult
Deep End (1970) is heading to Blu-ray courtesy of German distributors Koch Entertainment. Early reports indicate that the Blu-ray release will feature brand new director's commentary and a making of featurette.
The film tells the story of a 15-year-old boy who works as an attendant at a public bath in a London suburb and falls in love with a 22-year-old college girl.
In 1970,
Deep End was screened at the Venice Film festival. Two years later, the film won BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress (Jane Asher).
Street date is July 29th.
