Torchwood: The Complete UK Series Collection Blu-ray (Updated)

Timed to coincide with the Starz television debut of its US continuation, Torchwood: The Complete UK Series debuts on Blu-ray on July 19, 2011, courtesy of Warner Home Video and BBC Video. This provocative sci-fi adventure, focusing on the enigmatic Captain Jack Harkness and his team of intergalactic investigators, has grown a steady fanbase since spinning off from the new Dr. Who series; its third season, Torchwood: Children of Earth, even saw the program moving from BBC 3 to the prestigious BBC 1 channel in the UK.

The information released thus far indicates that the set is a single repackaging of Torchwood's three UK seasons; Warner Home Video has revealed the set includes 12 Blu-ray discs, the aggregate number of discs in the three individual season groupings. The set will also offer more than 10 hours of bonus features, though it is still unclear what those features are and whether they are the same supplemental materials presents on the existing Torchwood releases.
