New 3D BD recorders from Panasonic have been announced for the UK, they both have the ability to playback 3D Blu-rays and convert regular 2D content into 3D. Both devices also include Freeview+HD and PVR functionality, better still is that the PVR recordings are unprotected, so recorded shows can be burned to BD-R/RE blanks using the special recorder functionality.
They also have DLNA functionality and SD media playback, so home video recordings shot in AVCHD from compatible camcorders can be watched very easily on both players. They also have access to Panasonic's VieraCast content delivery network which contains a plethora of online video options.
No pricing information has been made available, but the recorders should hit the shelves soon.
