SlySoft Claims To Have Cracked BD+

SlySoft CEO Giancarlo Bettini has revealed that the upcoming version of their AnyDVD software will have the ability to crack the BD+ DRM which Fox uses on many new releases. It is yet to be seen how the software works, or what will happen to your player once the DRM is removed, but it should prove interesting to see how Fox reacts to this latest news.

BD+ is a copyright protection application on some Blu-ray discs which makes it impossible to copy the discs - or at least that was the idea. One thing the application has over similar DRM schemes is that it is easily amended to fix any hole found in the protection. By the time the AnyDVD software is released, the fix may already have been implemented, leaving the software useless.
