BBC Video has announced the 2-disc, July 19th Blu-ray release of Doctor Who: Series Six, Part One, the next stop on the immortal Time Lord's journey through time, space and reality. In the first of two planned Series Six releases, Matt Smith and Karen Gillan travel to the 1960s, battle an alien invasion, hop aboard a pirate ship in the 17th century, explore a bubble universe at the edge of reality, and encounter strange creatures and familiar foes at every turn.
Series Six, Part One includes seven episodes:
The Impossible Astronaut
Day of the Moon
The Curse of the Black Spot
The Doctor's Wife
The Rebel Flesh
The Almost People
A Good Man Goes to War
Doctor Who: Series Six, Part Two is scheduled for an early November release. A complete Series Six gift set will also be made available this holiday season. Details and more specific release dates have yet to be revealed.
