The Game Plan and Tinkerbell Announced

Buena Vista Home Entertainment has announced that they are planning to bring 'The Game Plan' and 'Tinkerbell' to Blu-ray in 2008. 'The Game Plan', which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, is set to be released on January 22nd and will be presented in 2.35:1 1080p video with PCM 5.1 24-bit audio. Extras include deleted scenes, bloopers, and a Blu-ray exclusive "Chalk Talk" commentary feature.

The direct-to-video feature 'Tinkerbell' has been given a release date of October 28, 2008. The film, which features the first starring and speaking role of the Disney icon (voiced by Brittany Murphy), was hopelessly delayed when Pixar's John Lasseter took over Disney animation (and apparently didn't like the direction the feature was heading). The feature will be presented in 1.78:1 1080p video and PCM audio. Extras include a behind-the-scenes making-of featurette, set-top game, Nature pedia, and guide to Pixie Hollow (which will be enhanced by BD-Live interactivity).
