At this point, it almost goes without saying, but Disney has once again outdone themselves with today's Diamond Edition Blu-ray release of
Bambi. The company repeatedly shows the utmost respect and dedication to the animated classics that film fans hold so dear, and today's release, much like previous Diamond Edition releases, in yet another feather in Disney's Blu-ray hat.

Bambi, "Bambi is a truly timeless classic as heartfelt, moving and, dare I say, profound in 2011 as it was nearly seventy years ago. It remains one of Disney's best and one of animation's greatest treasures. Its Diamond Edition Blu-ray release is outstanding as well. With a masterclass restoration, a stunning video transfer, a noteworthy 2046kbps DTS-HD High Resolution 7.1 surround track and a generous, unexpectedly revealing supplemental package, it joins a growing list of must-own Disney releases."

127 Hours may have failed to pick up any golden statues on Sunday, and the film's star will likely fail to receive an invitation to return as host, the number of nominations the film received is likely to peg the film as one of the year's best. Based on true events, James Franco stars as a climber who, after becoming trapped, resorts to extreme measures to save his own life.
At the age of 64, Cher can still pull in the crowds. Christina Aguilera - well – she knows how to deliver an
unforgettable performance. Together they star in one of the very few musicals of 2010,
Burlesque. While critics panned the film, it was a fan favorite and should be a strong performer as a Blu-ray release today.

Burlesque, staff reviewer Martin Liebman commented, "Cher and Christina Aguilera make the movie worth a watch, but at two hours it's just too long and even the sex appeal wears off by film's end. It's a movie with its heart in the right place; just don't expect anything new. Sony's Blu-ray release of Burlesque features a fine 1080p transfer, a dazzling lossless soundtrack, and more extras than the film probably deserves."
