BFI Video has announced that, on January 17, 2011, it will release two more Blu-ray titles as part of The Ozu Collection:
Equinox Flower (
Higanbana, 1958), Ozu's first color film, and
Good Morning (
Ohayo, 1959). Both will be presented in two-disc Dual format (BD/DVD) editions. Additionally, each feature will be accompanied by an early Ozu film that has never been available in the UK before.
Thus,
Equinox Flower will also include
There Was a Father (
Chichi Ariki, 1942), in high definition.
Good Morning, in turn, will include Ozu's silent masterpiece
I Was Born, But… (
Umarete wa mita keredo, 1932); it will be in standard definition only, but will feature a newly-recorded score by composer Ed Hughes and the New Music Players.

BFI Video started The Ozu Collection earlier this year, with
Late Spring (1949),
Early Summer (1951) and
Tokyo Story (1953). The studio plans to issue all 32 of the world-renowned Japanese director over the next three years.
