BDP-93 Blu-ray Disc player is nearing public release, and Oppo Digital is offering a limited number of units of to those in the US and Canada who signed up to receive information about it. This offer will only be available for five days or while supplies last, so if you had signed up and are interested in this player, check your email.
The manufacturer has clarified that there is still some work left to be done with the player. Although the hardware is final, the firmware is not: further refinement, tweaking, and bug fixing are still in development. The firmware can be upgraded via the internet, USB, or CD as new versions become available.
Note also that additional features, including streaming services from various providers, may be added during the product's lifecycle.
To ensure complete satisfaction for participants in the pre-release purchase, their return period will be extended to 30 days after the BDP-93 is officially released to the general public.
