Anime Blu-ray Wave from Funimation in February-March

FUNimation has revealed its Blu-ray slate for February-March 2011, with a dozen titles. They include two eagerly awaited anime movies: the second Evangelion feature, Evangelion 2.22: You Can (Not) Advance, and Mamoru Hosoda's Summer Wars, previously only available as an import. Also on the schedule are several collections to be released within FUNimation's new, budget-priced S.A.V.E and Classic lines.

FUNimation recently created the Super Amazing Value Edition (S.A.V.E. for short) for "older titles that are good titles but mainly appeal to a specified genre audience," and the Classic Line for "older titles that people need to have in their collection."

In recent years, FUNimation has been acquiring older titles like Last Exile, Serial Experiments Lain, Gungrave, Love Hina and Trigun. These new product lines make it possible to release these shows back into the market.
