Posted September 30, 2010 02:57 AM by Juan Calonge

Robin Hood was the top-selling Blu-ray title during the week ended September 26, according to Nielsen VideoScan. Disney's latest direct-to-video feature, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue, was second. The previous week's number one, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, dropped to third place.

Regarding Blu-ray sales percentages, 42% of the total unit sales of Robin Hood came from Blu-ray. More remarkably, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue got 26% - a market share figure nearly triple that of the previous Tink outing, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure just a year ago (see Blu-ray.com, November 5, 2009). To put it into context, this was the exact same BD percentage attained in 2009 by Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
