Samsung 3D Starter Kit Now with How to Train Your Dragon 3D Blu-ray (Update)

Samsung is discontinuing its existing 3D Starter Kit (model number SSG-P2100T), which included two pairs of 3D glasses and a bundled copy of the 3D Blu-ray of Monsters vs. Aliens. A new 3D Starter Kit (model number SSG-P2100X/ZA) is now available, which contains an IMAX 3D Triple Feature (comprised of Galapagos, Into the Deep and Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs), and a mail-in coupon for a free copy of the 3D Blu-ray movie How to Train Your Dragon (unannounced for general release separately).

Once the coupon is mailed in, consumers will need to wait 6-8 weeks for shipment.

The Dragon promotion will end on November 14th - at which time a new coupon will be issued, allowing you to receive one of the four Shrek movies on 3D Blu-ray.

A general release of the 3D edition of Monsters vs. Aliens is still unannounced.

The starter kit carries a list price of $399.99, and will be bundled for free with the purchase of any Samsung 3D television at participating retailers.
