With the extraordinary number of times the film has been re-issued (seems to be an annual tradition), it's somewhat surprising that it took this long for
The Evil Dead to be released on Blu-ray. The film, much like its sequels
Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn and
Army of Darkness, is worshiped by a group of hardcore fans that cherish anything related to this horror classic, so a Blu-ray release is sure to be a most welcome addition to their collection, and I look forward to the inevitable Blu-ray re-release next year.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (exclusive to Best Buy), but you can take your pick from the line of
Resident Evil SteelBook™ releases at Walmart to
The Blair Witch Project which is also available exclusive at Best Buy. You can be sure that these titles will eventually be sold at all retailers, but can you really wait for a high definition whiff of Sex Panther? I know I can't!
