According to retailer information, the German Blu-ray release of
The Runaways (scheduled for October 22) has been upgraded to SteelBook packaging. Unlike other German releases (where the SteelBook is a different, and usually pricier, SKU), this BD will come out initially in SteelBook only, as, e.g. TF1 has done in the past in France.
It will feature both English and German DTS-HD Master Audio with German subtitles. There is no information regarding region encoding.
The Runaways documents the groundbreaking portrayal of Joan Jett and Cherie Currie and how they paved the way for future generation girl bands with a tough chick image and raw talent.
