The Blu-ray edition of David Lean's
The Bridge on the River Kwai, which recently went up for preorder, is apparently getting closer and now appears with a release date of November 2. This BD will reportedly also come with a DVD copy of the movie.
Listed special features include:
- Picture-in-graphics track: Crossing the Bridge:
- Replicas of the original lobby cards
- William Holden and Alec Guinness on The Steve Allen Show
- Newly-discovered archival audio of William Holden narrating The Bridge on the River Kwai premiere
- 35 page book with stories and photos from the production
