The Bounty Hunter on Blu-ray to see where this fairytale romance could have gone wrong.
Staff reviewer Martin Liebman commented in his
Blu-ray review of The Bounty Hunter, "Lame. What else is there to say? The Bounty Hunter is a perfect example of a good idea gone sour. The direction and pacing are sluggish, the lead actors lack spunk and spirit, the laughs are stale, the action is insipid, and the movie is a good 20 minutes too long." Regarding the Blu-ray quality, he continues, "Sony's Blu-ray release of The Bounty Hunter is no great shakes, either, but the technical presentation is decent enough."

The Dark Knight, is a cinematic joy. Today's Blu-ray release of
Insomnia represents, what I consider, the weakest film in his catalog. The story feels disappointingly un-Nolan, likely due to it being a remake of the 1997 Norwegian film of the same name. Still, performances by Al Pacino and Robin Williams are outstanding, and the film out performances the majority of what Hollywood is producing today.
For the
Blu-ray review of Insomnia, staff reviewer Ken Brown commented, "Though more suffocating and less calculated than Nolan's other films, Insomnia is a gripping, performance-driven psychological thriller worthy of carrying the acclaimed director's name." He continues, "Better still, Insomnia's Blu-ray debut is a catalog standout; one that features an excellent AV presentation and an intriguing supplemental package."
My off-the-radar pick of the week goes to
Gabriel Iglesias: Hot & Fluffy, just because that guy is hilarious. If you've never caught this guys act on Comedy Central, do yourself a favor and give this disc a rental.
