Onkyo has announced two new high-end, 3D-compatible network A/V receivers with HDMI 1.4a, models
TX-NR3008 and
TX-NR5008. Both receivers support network audio streaming, various multi-room set-ups, and iPhone/iPod playback over USB. Both have achieved THX Ultra2 Plus certification. They will be available in August. List prices are $2,099 for the TX-NR3008 and $2,699 for the TX-NR5008.
Main features for both models include:
- Eight HDMI® 1.4a inputs, with compatibility specified for an Audio Return Channel and 3D video, and support for both mandatory video formats for 3D broadcasting ("Side-By-Side (Half)" and "Top-and-Bottom")
