Redbox Blu-ray Rentals Probably $1.50 a Night

During a keynote speech today, Redbox president Mitch Lowe revealed that the company will probably price rentals of Blu-ray titles at $1.50 a night, or half a dollar more than the usual price to rent DVDs from Redbox kiosks. According to Lowe,16.9% of Redbox customers own a Blu-ray player. He also said that kiosks will start offering BDs over the next few months, and expects this to drive format adoption.
