Blu-ray a PS3 Buy Motivator for 2 out of 3 Gamers

The Blu-ray capabilities of the PS3 are a console purchase motivator for 65% of gamers who do not currently own a PS3 but are thinking of doing so, according to a survey carried out by Nielsen. On the other hand, the urge to buy a specific game appears lowest in the list of motivators, with only 12% mentioning it as a purchase motivator.
Other factors cited by over 60% of respondents were the recent price reduction, the overall library of games, and the desire to upgrade from a PS2.
