Amazon High-def Week Coming Up, Vote for Blu-ray Deal of the Day

Amazon has proclaimed the week of June 7-11 as "High-def Week." Like the HD week held last year, it will feature various special hardware and software limited offers. And like last year (see blu-ray.com, June 8, 2009), the retailer has summoned its customers to vote for their candidate to Deal of the Day among five diverse Blu-ray box sets and collections.

Possible choices are:

• The Ultimate Matrix Collection
• Band of Brothers with The Pacific sampler
• The BBC Natural History Collection (Planet Earth / Galápagos / Ganges / Wild China)
• The Universe: Seasons 1-3
• Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection (The Motion Picture / The Wrath of Khan / The Search for Spock / The Voyage Home / The Final Frontier / The Undiscovered Country)
