MPI Media Group has announced Mary and Max for release on Blu-ray on June 15. This stop-motion claymation movie tells the story of an unlikely pen-friendship between a lonely Australian girl and an obese, reclusive New Yorker (voiced by Philip Seymour Hoffman). It featured at the Sundance Film Festival and won numerous prestigious prizes, including the Feature Film Award at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, the Grand Prize at the Ottawa International Animation Festival, and the Best Animated Feature Film award at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
Special features include Academy Award-winning animated short Harvie Krumpet, by the same director.
