Now that Avatar has been officially announced worldwide, British retailers have reposted the preorder pages and pictures for the local Blu-ray releases of the movie that got prematurely leaked earlier (see blu-ray.com, March 2). Apart from a regular release , the UK will get a limited-edition SteelBook, only available from online retailers, with four lenticular artcards and the companion Activist Survival Guide.

The Guide is a 208-page "confidential report on the biological and social history of Pandora, with field notes and other data from the Resources Development Administration's xenobiological research and scientific labs that have been compiled as a guide to the many unique aspects of the moon Pandora." It has an RRP of £14.99 if bought separately.
Additionally, only for the first 10,000 buyers of the SteelBook, Play.com will throw in an exclusive glow-in-the-dark Avatar T-shirt.
