Confirming earlier reports (see blu-ray.com,
February 8), first signs of a remastered Blu-ray release of
Gladiator are surfacing on the Web. A blu-ray.com forum member from Finland reported that local web retailers have already a reissue of the movie up for preorder, with a release date of May 4 and "remastered" in the item description. French retailers also have a new release of
Gladiator tagged for May 11, although in this case no mention of a remaster is made.
The new movie directed by Ridley Scott,
Robin Hood, opens in theaters on May 14.
