Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced that, on May 18, it will give a BD release to
Carlito's Way, one of the most eagerly-awaited titles that the studio had released on the defunct HD DVD format. Unlike other upcoming catalog titles from Universal, this acclaimed Brian De Palma movie starring Al Pacino will come in a single-sided BD50 disc.

- BD-Live
- D-Box motion code
At the moment, the studio has no plans for a Blu-ray release of the direct-to-video prequel,
Carlito's Way: Rise to Power.
