Warner Home Video has announced
The Wizard of Oz: 70th Anniversary Edition for release on Blu-ray on March 16. When Victor Fleming's classic was released on September 29, 2009, this single-disc edition was originally a retailer exclusive, available only at Wal-Mart. Now all bricks-and-mortar and Internet retailers will be able to stock it.
As explained during release week on the
Wizard of Oz buying guide, this edition is comprised of only one disc, but that doesn't mean it is a barebones release. On the contrary, it contains the following special features:
