Vivendi Entertainment has entered an agreement to exclusively distribute National Geographic TV product in North America.The exclusive multiyear deal gives Vivendi the rights to distribute product from National Geographic Channel and PBS. Up to now, National Geographic titles had been distributed by Warner Home Video.
“We are excited to welcome National Geographic into our family of home entertainment brands,” said Vivendi Entertainment EVP Yolanda Macias. “We are proud to bring these award-winning documentaries to their fans across physical and digital platforms.”
Vivendi had also acquired recently the home entertainment distribution division of Genius Products (see blu-ray.com,
September 14).
