For the week that ended on September 26th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's
Toy Story 5 remained atop the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its second week. The fifth entry in the beloved Pixar franchise opened in June 2026 to positive reviews and box office success—in its first weekend alone, it grossed over $310 million worldwide, a Pixar record—eventually grossing over $480 million domestically and almost $1.5 billion globally. This week,
Toy Story 5 had an HD share of 44% and 1% of units sold from the 4K UHD format (which was available only as a
Limited Edition SteelBook).
Remaining in second place on the Blu-ray-only chart in its second week is Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's
Evil Dead Burn. The latest entry in the long-running horror franchise is a sequel to the surprise hit
Evil Dead Rise, and like its predecessor did in 2023, it received generally positive reviews when it opened in July 2026. Financially, the film also did well, grossing over $32 million domestically and over $72 million globally against a reported $20 million budget. This week,
Evil Dead Burn sold 57% as many Blu-ray units as
Toy Story 5, with an HD share of 55% and 23% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
Coming in third place on the Blu-ray-only chart is
Forbidden Planet. Originally released on Blu-ray by Warner Bros. back in
2010, this week saw the film released on
remastered Blu-ray and
4K UHD by Arrow Video (in the original 2.55: 1 CinemaScope aspect ratio), with a choice of original lossless mono, original Perspecta stereo or DTS-HD MA 5.1 remixed audio, Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD edition and both new and existing extras. This week,
Forbidden Planet sold 56% as many Blu-ray units as
Toy Story 5, with an HD share of 99.13% and 87% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, enough to also make it the week's top 4K UHD release.
Elsewhere on the charts, 20th Century Studios'
Mrs. Doubtfire and
Dead Poets Society, both of which received 4K UHD upgrades, came in at Nos. 4 and 11 on the Blu-ray-only chart, while
Go (1999), which received a 4K UHD release from Arrow this week, came in at No. 13.
