For the week of October 5th, Well Go USA has a 4K UHD combo pack for Yuen Woo-Ping's Blades of the Guardians: Wind Rises in the Desert (镖人:风起大漠), starring Jet Li, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Jing Wu, CiSha, Rongguang Yu and Kara Ying Hung Wai.

Description: Legendary action master Yuen Woo-ping brings together martial arts icons Wu Jing, Nicholas Tse, Max Zhang, and Jet Li on an epic wuxia adventure across the desert sands. Bounty hunter Doa Ma takes a job escorting the empire's most wanted man, Zhi Shi Lang, to Chang'an city. As word gets out, his group is hunted down by warriors across the land. The chase is relentless, the action is non-stop, and the blades cut deep.

Well Go USA's 4K UHD release of Blades of the Guardians: Wind Rises in the Desert contains Dolby Vision HDR and Mandarin: Dolby Atmos audio, with a choice of English, French, Simplified or Traditional Chinese subtitles. English or Spanish dubbed audio tracks are also included, while extras include a trailer (in 4K on the 4K UHD disc), four featurettes and three additional trailers. New on Blu-ray from Paramount Home Media Distribution is Jeff Tremaine's Jackass: Best and Last, starring Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Jason 'Wee Man' Acuña, Preston Lacy, Ehren McGhehey and Chris Pontius.

Description: Johnny Knoxville and the gang return for one final fling at the big screen. Featuring all-new stunts and stupidity along with the greatest hits and biggest laughs from the past, jackass: best and last is a joyously raucous celebration of all the mischievous camaraderie that you've come to love and expect from these idiots over the past 25 years. Paramount's Blu-ray of Jackass: Best and Last contains a deleted scenes montage.

Also new on Blu-ray from Paramount is The Madison: Season One (2026), starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, Beau Garrett, Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman and Amiah Miller.

Description: Three-time Academy Award® nominee Michelle Pfeiffer and Golden Globe® nominee Kurt Russell (Silkwood) lead a stellar cast in The Madison, the acclaimed new drama from Taylor Sheridan. Paramount's Blu-ray release of The Madison: Season One is a two-disc set with all six episodes and Dolby Atmos audio.

Coming to Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Walt Disney Home Entertainment is Thomas Kail's Moana (2026), starring Dwayne Johnson, Catherine Laga'aia, Frankie Adams, Rena Owen, John Tui and Jemaine Clement.

Description: In Disney's live-action reimagining of the beloved animated adventure, Moana (Catherine Laga'aia) answers the Ocean's call and voyages beyond her island's reef with the infamous demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) on a journey to restore prosperity to her people.

Disney's 4K UHD release of Moana contains Dolby Vision HDR and the film's Dolby Atmos audio. Extras include a nine-part making of documentary, song selection and a sing-a-long version of the film.

Note: Disney's 4K UHD release of Moana is currently only available in SteelBook packaging.

New on Blu-ray and 4K UHD from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is Malcolm Venville's documentary Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition.

Description: With unprecedented access to official band archives, Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition charts five decades of one of the most iconic journeys in music history. Featuring interviews with the band and contributors such as Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich and Chuck D, this electrifying film offers an intimate look at their uncompromising vision and unwavering connection with their global army of fans.

Universal's Blu-ray releases of Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition contain DTS:X audio, with HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include an interview with Paul Di'Anno and Tears of a Clown: The Book of Souls Tour 2016-17. On the same day, Universal will release a Limited Edition Giftset including six dual-sided art cards with images of the band, six dual-sided art cards with images of Eddie, a dual-sided poster, specially designed guitar picks and a letter from the band.

Note: Universal's releases Standard and Limited Edition Giftset editions of Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition are currently only available in SteelBook packaging.

Also coming to 4K UHD from Universal is a new edition of John Landis' An American Werewolf in London (1981) , starring David Naughton, Jenny Agutter, Griffin Dunne, John Woodvine, Brian Glover and Lila Kaye. Previously released on 4K UHD by Arrow Video in 2022, this new Universal 4K UHD edition includes a Dolby Atmos audio remix. Also included are three hours of extras from previous Universal Blu-ray and DVD editions, including audio commentary with David Naughton and Griffin Dune, documentaries, featurettes, outtakes, storyboards and more. In addition to standard packaging, a Limited Edition SteelBook will also be available.

New on Blu-ray from Magnolia Home Entertainment is Kent Jones' Late Fame, starring Willem Dafoe, Greta Lee, Edmund Donovan, Stephen Badalamenti, William Hill and Jake Lacy.

Description: Forgotten New York poet, Ed Saxberger (Willem Dafoe), is welcomed by an eager fan (Edmund Donovan) into a group of young admirers who anoint him a rediscovered genius. Intoxicated by the attention, and by the alluring presence of Gloria (Greta Lee), the group's "tragic heroine," Saxberger gradually reckons with the authenticity of his newfound poetic circle.

New on Blu-ray from Kino Lorber is Daniel Geller and Dayna Goldfine's documentary Peter Asher: Everywhere Man.

Description: Peter Asher's extraordinary life has intersected with some of the greatest artists and musical moments of the last six decades. A child actor who became a pop star and then a manager and producer to the likes of James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt, he is a Zelig-like figure who remains a vital creative force to this day. A documentary by Dan Geller and Dayna Goldfine (Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, A Journey, A Song) featuring interviews with Paul McCartney, Carole King, and many more.

Kino's Blu-ray of Peter Asher: Everywhere Man contains additional scenes with Peter Asher, Carole King, Natalie Merchant and more, as well as a theatrical trailer.

New on Blu-ray from Oscilloscope Pictures is Michael Almereyda's documentary John Lilly and the Earth Coincidence Control Office.

Description: The daring experimenter Dr. John C. Lilly dedicated his life to radical self-investigation and unlocking the mysteries of consciousness and communication. Directors Michael Almareyda and Courtney Stephens, along with narrator Chloë Sevigny, explore the life of a determined scientist and his experiments into the psychonautical unknown.

Oscilloscope's Blu-ray of John Lilly and the Earth Coincidence Control Office contains "Ted Nelson's Year at John Lilly's Dolphin Lab", deleted scenes and a theatrical trailer.

Turning to catalog titles, Shout Factory has a box set for the Aces Go Places Collection (1982-1989), a five-film, ten-disc set with the Blu-ray and 4K UHD premieres of Eric Tsang's Aces Go Places (最佳拍档) (1982) and Aces Go Places II (最佳拍檔大顯神通) (1983), Tsui Hark's Aces Go Places III (最佳拍档之女皇密令) (1984), Ringo Lam's Aces Go Places IV (最佳拍檔之千里救差婆) (1986) and Chia-Liang Liu's Aces Go Places V: The Terracotta Hit (新最佳拍檔) (1989). All five films are sourced from new 4K scans of the original camera negatives, with Cantonese: DTS-HD MA Mono audio, optional, newly-translated English subtitles and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD discs. Extras include audio commentaries on all five films with James Mudge (Hong Kong film critic at easternKicks), international Mad Mission versions of all five films, interviews across the series with assistant director O-Sing Pui, film historian Frank Djeng, special effects artist Yiu Yau Hung and actor Fennie Yuen, along with both theatrical and international trailers.

Finally this week, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has a 4K UHD upgrade for Frank Oz's Little Shop of Horrors (1986), starring Levi Stubbs, Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin and Tichina Arnold. Sourced from a 4K master, Warner presents both the theatrical and director's cuts of Little Shop of Horrors with Dolby Vision HDR and a new Dolby Atmos audio remix, as well as original DTS-HD MA 2.0 audio on the theatrical version. Extras include the new featurettes To Feed or Not to Feed: For the Love of Little Shop and Mean Green Mother - Creating Audrey II, audio commentary on the theatrical version with Frank Oz, the featurettes Frank Oz and Little Shop of Horrors: The Director's Cut and A Story of Little Shop of Horrors, outtakes and deleted scenes and the director's cut ending with optional commentary by Oz. In addition to standard packaging, a Limited Edition SteelBook will also be available. On the same day, Warner will release an Amazon Exclusive 80's Horror 5-Film 4K Steelbook Library Case with a different Little Shop of Horrors SteelBook included.
