Eureka Entertainment's Masters of Cinema series has been chosen as the ‘Label of the Year' in the latest February 2010 edition of the British AV magazine
Home Cinema Choice. The Masters of Cinema release of F.W. Murnau's '
Sunrise' was also chosen as ‘Best Remastering' for its Blu-ray version released in September 2009.
Other nominees were Walt Disney's Platinum/Diamond Editions and Optimum's Studio Canal Collection.
Home Cinema Choice said in its announcement: “From contemporary Asian cinema to silent 1920s classics, Eureka's Masters of Cinema Series is a cinephile's dream come true.”
The Masters of Cinema Series was founded in 2004. The first Blu-ray in the series ('
Mad Detective') was released in November 2008.
