British distributors 88 Films have provided complete details for their upcoming 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine's Gamer (2009), starring Gerard Butler, Amber Valletta, Michael C. Hall, Kyra Sedgwick, and Aaron Yoo. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on November 16.
Description: The future of gaming is here: SLAYER – a shoot 'em up where players control real people as they fight their way through a war zone. To the death.
The cannon fodder comes from death row – promised release if they survive 30 games. The current champ is Kable (Gerard Butler – 300) and he's nearly there. But Kable knows too much. If he gets out, he could bring down the game, the people who made it and maybe even more. As he plays for the final time, the odds are rising: if he can't fight his way through, it's going to be Game Over.
From Neveldine & Taylor, twisted geniuses behind the Crank movies comes a movie harder, faster and much more brutal than anything they'd done before. Finally available on eye-popping 4K Blu-ray, Gamer makes Grand Theft Auto look as dangerous as Connect Four.
