For the week that ended on August 29th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu topped the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its first week. The latest Star Wars feature opened in May 2026 to mixed reviews and disappointing box office, with a domestic total of over $177 million and a global haul of just over $345 million (against a reported $165 million budget), which is the lowest gross of any live-action film in the space opera franchise. This week, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu had a strong HD share of 75% and 45% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, enough to also make it the week's top 4K UHD release.

Debuting in second place on the Blu-ray-only, overall packaged media and 4K UHD charts is Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Disclosure Day. Steven Spielberg's mysterious latest film opened in June 2026 to positive reviews and good box office, taking over $116 million domestically and over $241 million globally. This week, Disclosure Day sold 38% as many Blu-ray units as Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, with an HD share of 63% and 35% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Dropping to third place in its third week is Alliance Entertainment's Project Hail Mary. The adaptaion of Andy Weir's novel of the same name opened in March 2026 to critical acclaim and financial success, topping the box office for its first two weeks en route to over $344 million domestically and over $684 million globally. This week, Project Hail Mary sold 25% as many Blu-ray units as Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, with an HD share of 69% and 34% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Elsewhere on the Blu-ray-only chart, Shout Factory and GKIDS' anime film Your Name., which received a 4K UHD upgrade this week, came in at No. 4, while Universal's Blu-ray of the animated He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Complete Original Series (1983-1985) came in at No. 5 and Universal's The Fast and the Furious, which saw a new 4K UHD edition this week, came in at No. 6. Alliance's Blu-ray of The Sheep Detectives debuted at No. 7, while Paramount Home Media Distribution's Enemy at the Gates and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Practical Magic, two more titles which received 4K UHD upgrades this week, came in at Nos. 8 and 9. Outside the top ten, Paramount's The Saint (1997) and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Identity (2003), two further titles with 4K UHD upgrades (the latter being from Arrow Video) came in at Nos. 11 and 13. Finally, Paramount's Blu-ray of Marshals: Season One (2026) debuted at No. 15.
