Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Entertainment will bring to 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Seasons One and Two. The releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on November 3.
Both seasons of the epic series, set in the fabled Second Age of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, will be available as 4-disc 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray sets on November 3 and as a limited edition 4K Blu-ray SteelBook December 1.
Season 1 of The Rings of Power made its debut on Prime Video in September 2022, followed by the Season 2 premiere in August 2024. The award-winning series is one of the highest performing and most-viewed titles ever on Prime Video, with over 185 million viewers worldwide to date.
Set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, this epic drama follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil in Middle-earth™. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital Lindon; from the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map – these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.
Season Onr of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power was led by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay. They were joined by executive producers Lindsey Weber, Callum Greene, J.A. Bayona, Belén Atienza, Justin Doble, Jason Cahill, Gennifer Hutchison, Bruce Richmond, and Sharon Tal Yguado, and producers Ron Ames and Christopher Newman. Wayne Che Yip was co-executive producer and directed along with J.A. Bayona and Charlotte Brändström.
Season Two was produced by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay. They were joined by executive producers Lindsey Weber, Callum Greene, Justin Doble, Jason Cahill, and Gennifer Hutchison, along with co-executive producer and director Charlotte Brändström, producers Kate Hazell and Helen Shang, and co-producers Clare Buxton, Andrew Lee, Glenise Mullins, and Matthew Penry-Davey. Additional Season Two directors were Sanaa Hamri and Louise Hooper.
