For the week of September 7th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has a Blu-ray and 4K UHD release for Craig Gillespie's Supergirl (2026), starring Milly Alcock, Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet and Jason Momoa.
Description: In its inaugural flight into the new DC Cinematic Universe, "Supergirl" reveals the origin of the interplanetary nomad Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, cousin of Kal-El, better known as Superman. Headstrong, worldly-wise, and often reckless, Supergirl exudes a brand of heroism all her own—truthful, relatable, and always on her own terms. But when an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion. Also new from Warner is Jeff Wamester's animated film Batman: Knightfall – Part 1: Knightfall, featuring the voices of Anson Mount, Michael Mando, Bruce Boxleitner, Pablo Schreiber, Jack Griffo and David Dastmalchian.

Finally from Warner comes a Warner Archive Blu-ray for Looney Tunes Collector's Vault: Volume 3 (1930-1960), a two-disc set with a further 50 cartoons appearing on Blu-ray for the first time (25 of which have never been on DVD), with DTS-HD MA 2.0 Mono audio tracks. Turning to catalog titles, the Criterion Collection has a new 4K UHD edition of Sidney Lumet's 12 Angry Men (1957), starring Martin Balsam, John Fiedler, Lee J. Cobb, E. G. Marshall, Jack Klugman, Edward Binns, Jack Warden, Henry Fonda, Joseph Sweeney, Ed Begley, George Voskovec and Robert Webber. Originally released on 4K UHD by Kino Lorber in 2023, Criterion's edition also offers the film with Dolby Vision HDR and has an LPCM Mono audio track. Extras include the 1954 television version "12 Angry Men" (an episode of Studio One) with an introduction by Ron Simon (curator at the Paley Center for Media), a featurette on the film's production history, archival interviews with Sidney Lumet, screenwriter Walter Bernstein (about Lumet), Ron Simon (about writer Reginald Rose) and cinematographer John Bailey (about director of photography Boris Kaufman), Lumet's teleplay "Tragedy in a Temporary Town" (1956) and an original theatrical trailer. Also included is a booklet with an essay by writer and law professor Thane Rosenbaum.

A Blu-ray for Norifumi Suzuki's Roaring Fire (吼えろ鉄拳) (1981), starring Hiroyuki Sanada, Shin'ichi Chiba, Etsuko Shihomi, Mikio Narita, Toshiaki Minami and Tatsuo Endô. Toy Robot presents Roaring Fire with Japanese: DTS-HD MA 2.0 Mono audio and optional English subtitles. Extras include an audio commentary with film historian Brian Bankston, interviews with Japanese film critic Akihiko Ito on Sonny Chiba, with critic James Mudge on the film and with pro-wrestling critic and film writer Chris Lines on the life and times of Abdullah the Butcher, a TV spot and a theatrical trailer. A Blu-ray for Steve Wang's The Guyver 2: Dark Hero (1994), starring David Hayter, Kathy Christopherson, Bruno Patrick, Christopher Michael, Stuart Weiss and Bill Lee. Sourced from "a new master transferred from the best surviving film elements", Toy Robot presents The Guyver 2: Dark Hero in a two-disc set with both its original version and an enhanced version with new special effects. Extras include three audio commentaries: one with Steve Wang, a second with associate producer Wyatt Weed and creature performer Ted Smith and a third with Donavon Thompson (of The Guyver Geek Channel) and author Dom O'Brien (Budget Biomorphs). Video extras include a text interview with Guyver creator Yoshiki Takaya, interviews with Steve Wang, David Hayter and Kathy Christopherson, screenwriter Nathan Long, composer Les Claypool III and others, an hour of behind-the-scenes footage, over 30 minutes of image galleries and both new and archival trailers.
