Neon Eagle Video and Cauldron Films have revealed four upcoming Blu-ray releases. They are: A True Story of the Private Ginza Police (1973), Go for Broke (1985), The Uninvited Guest of the Star Ferry (1984), and Diamond Ninja Force / The Demon's Apartment (1988). All four releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on December 8.
A True Story of the Private Ginza Police
Description: Following Japan's defeat in WW2, a group of restless former soldiers (Toei yakuza eiga veterans Noburu Ando, Tatsuo Umemiya, Hideo Murota, and Tsunehiko Watase) band together to form a criminal gang in bombed out Tokyo out of sheer desperation, anger, and boredom. Once on top of the yakuza scene in the lawless Ginza district, things quickly fall apart and the former partners begin to turn on each other, leading to an explosive bloodbath finale and the utter degradation of any survivors.
A TRUE STORY OF THE PRIVATE GINZA POLICE, directed by genre chameleon Junya Sato, is the nihilistic pinnacle of the jitsuroku or 'true account' style of yakuza films from the early to mid-1970s - A wild tumult of blood, drugs, guns, and a shocking disregard for general human decency, captured with a constantly moving handheld camera and scored with a dissonant, improvised jazz-skronk soundtrack.
This Neon Eagle Video Blu-ray release marks the US home video premiere and the worldwide disc debut of this undercelebrated classic of the Japanese gangster genre, taken from a 2K restoration straight from the vaults of Toei studio.

Description: When a school full of wimps gets repeatedly plundered by a teenage biker gang, the student council decides to hire a crew of "yojimbo" (bodyguards) to defend themselves. Though they expect to find some martial arts dudes to fill the role, what they get instead is a crew of tough-as-nails ladies! The team includes a whip-smart motorcyclist, a stunt-woman who specializes in ninja roles, a homemade weapons expert, and a razor-wielding "sukeban" (girl gang boss). This crew whips the nerds into battle-readiness, and while their first skirmish is a success, the biker gang's leader emerges from the shadows, revealing a cold-as-ice bitch ready to lead her gang to vengeance.
GO FOR BROKE is an entirely bonkers and utterly joyful 80s action film overtly inspired by the Japanese classic SEVEN SAMURAI but with a healthy dose of THE ROAD WARRIOR to give it a wild modern twist. Given it was directed by pink film pioneer Genji Nakamura, you might expect a total sleaze fest but instead GO FOR BROKE is pure triumphant action spectacle all the way, much like the films that inspired it, but with a slick 1980s pop bubbliness that marks it out as its own big-haired beast.

Neon Eagle Video has restored both films from their original negatives / best available film elements straight from the IFD vaults, and they are presented here in HD for the first time ever, along with a host of exclusive extras.
DIAMOND NINJA FORCE
In more or less a direct sequel to NINJA TERMINATOR, DIAMOND NINJA FORCE finds Richard Harrison battling more bad guys with swords, magic, explosions, and mustaches. His foes, the Black Ninja Clan, are trying to force a real estate heiress to sell her land so they can reclaim the bodies of their ancestors. To help persuade her, they send in the Ghost Ninja, a horny specter who never does anything remotely ninja-like but does get involved in the heiress' sex life with her husband. Meanwhile, the Black Ninja Clan murders Richard Harrison's wife for no reason. And you know what that means – REVENGE!
Neon Eagle Video has spared no expense in order to restore this brain-damaging classic of 'cut and paste' action cinema from its original negative and presents it proudly in this deluxe package.

A corrupt real estate baron covers up (literally) the fact that his latest housing project is built over a mass unmarked grave, which comes back to haunt (also literally) the family that moves into one of the bungalows. Mom starts seeing ghosts and freaking out almost immediately upon arriving, while Dad is convinced she's "just seeing things" and tries to calm her down by having sex with her (which actually seems to work). Meanwhile their empty-headed son is caught between a kindly Granny ghost and a skeevy specter that is anxious to drink his blood, unaware that the kid has hepatitis (?!?).
But the real trouble starts when the troubled spirit of a young lady gets all worked up by the sexy-times between perpetually nervous Mom and perpetually horny Dad, and decides to get in on the action, initiating a nasty possession that doesn't end well for anyone.
DEMON'S APARTMENT (a.k.a. GHOST RAPIST, a title we're not using for obvious reasons) is a sleazed-up POLTERGEIST riff from mid-80s Taiwan that was used as the 'source film' for the IFD produced Godfrey Ho joint DIAMOND NINJA FORCE, also featured in this set. The film hits you with an almost constant barrage of insanity, with severed heads in laundry baskets, puking ghosts, gambling addict ghosts, erotic home abortions, cowardly exorcists, and much more.
