For the week that ended on August 1st, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's
Mortal Kombat II topped the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its debut. The sequel to surprise hit
Mortal Kombat (2021) opened in May 2026 much like its predecessor did: to mixed reviews but strong box office. While it opened in second place behind
The Devil Wears Prada 2, eventually, the film grossed over $79 million domestically and over $129 million globally. This week,
Mortal Kombat II had an HD share of 68% and 33% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
Debuting in second place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Lionsgate Home Entertainment's
Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair. A 253-minute epic representing the long-awaited combination of Quentin Tarantino's
Kill Bill: Volume 1 and
Kill Bill: Volume 2,
The Whole Bloody Affair was released onto home video in a 4K UHD combo pack, split over two Blu-rays or two 4K UHD discs, with original DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio, Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD discs and the Fortnite creation
The Lost Chapter as a supplement. A
Lionsgate Limited Exclusive DigiPack adds a "40-page behind-the-scenes booklet, curated by Quentin Tarantino", a 70mm film still, five double-sided collectible character cards and two posters. This week,
Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair sold 94% as many Blu-ray units as
Mortal Kombat II, with a perfect HD share of 100% and 100% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, enough to make it the week's top 4K UHD release.
Debuting in second place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Arrow Video's box set of
Stranger Things: The Complete Series (2016-2025). Available in both
Deluxe and
Standard editions (Blu-ray:
Deluxe and
Standard), Arrow presents the series on 20 Blu-ray or 4K UHD discs with DTS-HD MA 5.1, LPCM 2.0 or (for Seasons 4 and 5) Dolby Atmos audio options and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD edition. An additional five Blu-ray discs include interviews with the cast and crew, behind-the-scenes featurettes, set tours, bloopers, cast rewatches, image galleries and trailers. This week,
