For the week that ended on July 4th, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its third week. When
The Super Mario Bros. Movie charmed critics and audiences alike, grossing over $1.3 billion in 2023, a sequel was all but assured, and in April 2026,
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie debuted in theaters, receiving a tepid critical response, but also making a mint at the box office, taking in over $429 million domestically and over $1 billion globally so far. This week,
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie had an HD share of 52% and 21% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
Second place on the Blu-ray-only chart went to Arrow Video's
Mortal Kombat Kollection (1995-1997), a two-disc box set on
remastered Blu-ray or
4K UHD featuring
Mortal Kombat (1995) and
Mortal Kombat Annihilation with both new and existing extras. This week, Arrow's
Mortal Kombat Kollection sold 69% as many Blu-ray units as
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, with a perfect HD share of 100% and 94% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, enough to make it the week's top 4K UHD release.
Dropping back down to third place on the Blu-ray-only chart in its seventh sweek is Disney and 20th Century Studios'
Avatar: Fire and Ash. The third film in the
Avatar franchise and direct sequel to
Avatar: The Way of Water opened in December 2025 to mixed reviews but box office success, grossing over $404 million domestically and over $1.08 billion internationally for a total of some $1.485 billion globally. This week,
Avatar: Fire and Ash sold 34% as many Blu-ray units as
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, with an HD share of 55% and 24% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
Elsewhere on the charts, Alliance Entertainment's
Crime 101 debuted at No. 4 on the Blu-ray-only chart, while Arrow's
Jackie Chan's Breakout Hits! (1994-1998) box set came in at No. 5 and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's
They Will Kill You debuted at No. 9.
