Hammer: First Look at New 4K Restoration of Dracula (1958)

Hammer Films has provided a promotional trailer for the new 4K restoration of Dracula (1958), starring Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Michael Gough, Melissa Stribling, and Carol Marsh. A combo pack release of the 4K restoration is scheduled to arrive on the market later this year.
The 4K restoration will also return to cinemas in early October, presented in association with Warner Bros.
A deeper search of Warner Bros' holdings for Dracula (1958) uncovered additional inserts no one had connected to the film's lost scenes. The holy grail of missing footage was hiding in plain sight. When those reels arrived from outside storage, they were confirmed as exactly that — footage believed to survive only on a beat-up 16mm print from Japan, now found pristine and complete. Unseen for over sixty years. Never released in the UK or US. Never on home entertainment anywhere in the world.
Painstakingly restored in 4K, graded to match Jack Asher's original colour palette, and reinstated into the original camera negative to create the complete, uncut version Terence Fisher originally completed in 1958.
