For the week of July 6th, A24 has a Blu-ray and 4K UHD release for Kristoffer Borgli's The Drama, starring Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, Hailey Gates and Sydney Lemmon.

Description: Robert Pattinson and Zendaya star as a happily engaged couple whose relationship is put to the ultimate test after a sudden revelation throws their happily ever after into spectacular turmoil. Rising comedic auteur Kristoffer Borgli pushes the wedding comedy into fresh new territory in an inventive, darkly funny, and unexpectedly heartfelt look at love in the age of oversharing.

A24's Blu-ray releases of The Drama contain the film's Dolby Atmos audio, with Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD edition. Extras include audio commentary with costume designer Katina Danabassis, production designer Zosia Mackenzie and co-editor Joshua Raymond Lee, a making of, a wardrobe and camera test (with optional commentary by Katina Danabassis) a relationship hotline promo and Charlie and Emma's wedding video. DigiPack packaging includes six collectible postcards.

New on Blu-ray from Shout Factory and GKIDS is Kenichiro Akimoto's anime film All You Need Is Kill (ALL YOU NEED IS KILL), featuring the voices of Ai Mikami, Natsuki Hanae, Hiccorohee, Kana Hanazawa and Mô Chûgakusei.

Description: Set in the year 20XX, ALL YOU NEED IS KILL follows the story of Rita, a resourceful but isolated young woman volunteering to help rebuild Japan after the mysterious appearance of a massive alien flower known as "Darol." When Darol unexpectedly erupts in a deadly event, unleashing monstrous creatures that decimate the population, Rita is caught in the destruction—and killed. But then she wakes up again. And again. Caught in an endless time loop, Rita must navigate the trauma and repetition of death until she crosses paths with Keiji, a shy young man trapped in the same cycle. Together, they fight to break free from the loop and find meaning in the chaos around them.

Shout's Blu-ray of All You Need Is Kill contains a choice of original Japanese or dubbed English: DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio tracks, along with English, English SDH, French or Spanish subtitles. Extras include director scene breakdowns, a pre-screening discussion with the director and cast, storyboards with director commentary, an art gallery, teasers and trailers.

Also coming from Shout is a 4K UHD upgrade for Tim Burton's Dark Shadows (2012), starring Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley and Jonny Lee Miller. Sourced from a new 4K master, Shout presents Dark Shadows with a Dolby Atmos audio remix and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include interviews with vsual effects supervisor Angus Bickerton and make-up department head Joel Harlow, the featurettes Becoming Barnabas, Welcome to Collinsport!, The Collinses: Every Family Has Its Demons, Reliving a Decade, Angelique: A Witch Scorned Alice Cooper Rocks Collinsport Dark Shadowy Secrets, A Melee of Monstrous Proportions and Dark Shadows: The Legend Bites Back, along with deleted scenes.

New on Blu-ray from Alliance Entertainment is Gus Van Sant's Dead Man's Wire, starring Bill Skarsgård, Dacre Montgomery, Cary Elwes, Myha'la, Colman Domingo and Al Pacino.

Description: On February 8, 1977, Tony Kiritsis entered the office of Richard Hall, president of the Meridian Mortgage Company, and took him hostage with a sawed-off shotgun wired with a "dead man's wire" from the trigger to Tony's own neck.Dead Man's Wire is the fascinating true story of the 1977 kidnapping that turned aspiring Indianapolis entrepreneur Tony Kiritsis into an eccentric outlaw folk hero, directed by Academy Award–nominated filmmaker Gus Van Sant.

Also new on Blu-ray from Alliance, in association with Magenta Light Studios, is Linus O'Brien's documentary Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror.

New on Blu-ray from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, in association with Saban Films, is David Mackenzie's Fuze, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Saffron Hocking and Sam Worthington.

Description: Set in contemporary London, Fuze unfolds after an unexploded World War II bomb is unearthed at a busy construction site, forcing a massive citywide evacuation. Amid the escalating tension and chaos, a daring criminal operation is set in motion—one that uses the evacuation as cover for a meticulously planned heist. Coming to 4K UHD from Sony is a new edition of Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead (1981), starring Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss, Richard DeManincor, Betsy Baker, Theresa Tilly and Philip A. Gillis. Originally released on 4K UHD by Lionsgate in 2018, Sony's new edition contains Dolby Vision HDR and a choice of DTS-HD MA 5.1 or 2.0 Surround audio tracks. A Blu-ray copy of the film also contains audio commentary with Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell, the picture-in-picture track Join Us! The Undying Legacy of The Evil Dead, One by One We Will Take You: The Untold Saga of The Evil Dead, Treasure from the Cutting Room Floor, At the Drive-In, Discovering Evil Dead a make-up test, TV Spots and trailer. New on Blu-ray from Altered Innocence is Todd Wiseman Jr.'s The School Duel, starring Kue Lawrence, Christina Brucato, Oscar Nuñez, Michael Sean Tighe, Eugenie Bondurant and Hudson Meek.

Synopsis: In a near-future Florida where gun control has been abolished, the state's ambitious governor (Oscar Nuñez, The Office) introduces a chilling solution to school shootings: a state-wide, televised fight-to-the-death competition known as "The School Duel." Sammy, a troubled 13-year-old, secretly enlists against his mother's wishes - seduced by promises of purpose, patriotism, and notoriety. But as the deadly spectacle unfolds, that dream begins to crumble. The debut feature from director Todd Wiseman Jr., The School Duel is a provocative dystopian thriller about fear, manipulation, and one of the most brazenly political genre films in recent memory.

Coming to 4K UHD from the Criterion Collection is David Lynch's The Elephant Man (1980), starring Anthony Hopkins, John Hurt, Anne Bancroft, John Gielgud, Wendy Hiller and Freddie Jones. Sourced from a 4K master, Criterion presents The Elephant Man in a director-approved edition, with an LPCM 2.0 Stereo audio track and in SDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include David Lynch and critic Krisine McKenna reading from their book Room to Dream (2018), interviews with Lynch, John Hurt, producers Mel Brooks and Jonathan Sanger, director of photography Freddie Francis, stills photographer Frank Connor and make-up artist Christopher Tucker, an audio recording of Lynch at the American Film Institute in 1981, the documentaries The Terrible Elephant Man Revealed (2001) and Joseph Merrick: The Real Elephant Man (2005), radio spots and a trailer. DigiPack packaging includes a booklet with "ecerpts from an interview with Lynch from the 2005 edition of filmmaker and writer Chris Rodley's book Lynch on Lynch, and an 1886 letter to the editor of the London Times concerning Merrick by Francis Culling Carr Gomm, chairman of the London Hospital".

Finally this week, BBC Studios has a Blu-ray for Doctor Who: Peter Davison Complete Season Three (AKA Doctor Who: The Collection - Season 21 in the UK) (1984), starring Peter Davison. Janet Fielding, Mark Strickson, Nicola Bryant and Elisabeth Sladen. The ten-disc set contains all 26 episodes of the serials Warriors of the Deep, The Awakening, Frontios, Resurrection of the Daleks, Planet of Fire, The Caves of Androzani and The Twin Dilemma. Extras include a special edition of Warriors of the Deep, updated special effects on The Awakening, Frontios, Resurrection of the Daleks and The Caves of Androzani, new interviews with actors Janet Fielding, Mark Strickson and Matthew Waterhouse, making of documentaries for Resurrection of the Daleks and The Twin Dilemma, the documentaries Look Who's Boating and 48 Hours with Fielding, seven new episodes of Behind the Sofa, two new episodes of Doctor Who Escape Room, The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot (with new audio commentary), a 2023 Tales of the TARDIS edit of Earthshock with linking material from Peter Davison and Janet Fielding, new audio commentaries with Peter Davison, Janet Fielding and Mark Strickson, "archive treats", convention footage and PDF written materials.
