Fun City Editions has revealed that it will introduce a brand new 4K restoration of Eckhart Schmidt's cult film The Fan (1982), starring Désirée Nosbusch, Bodo Steiger, Simone Brahmann, Jonas Vischer, and Helga Tölle. The 4K restoration will premiere at Metrograph in New York later this Summer.
The label has not yet revealed preliminary plans for upcoming 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of the 4K restoration.
Description: Simone wants nothing more than to love and be loved by "R", but he uses her with machine-like coldness. When he walks out on her to join his friends, she plots her revenge. She plans the ultimate sacrifice of her god on the altar of her madness, a ceremony as exalted and romantic as it is horribly wonderful.
