British label Second Sight Films is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of ean-Jacques Annaud's The Name of the Rose (1986), staring Sean Connery, Christian Slater, Helmut Qualtinger, Elya Baskin, and Michael Lonsdale. The two releases are scheduled to arrive on the market on August 10th.

Description: An aging friar and his young apprentice investigate a series of mysterious deaths at a monastery. The pair must race against time to prove the innocence of an unjustly accused man while avoiding the wrath of a Holy Inquisitor.
