Ruby Max Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on Blu-ray Francesco Lucente's Starbright (2025), starring Ted Levine, Elisabeth Röhm, John Rhys-Davies, Diego Boneta, and Gbenga Akinnagbe. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on July 14.
Description: Aisling (Alexandra Dowling, The Musketeers) lives on a dilapidated farm with her grandparents, Bud (Ted Levine, Silence of the Lambs) and Teresa (Becky Ann Baker, Men in Black) and wishes for a more exciting life than her solitary rural existence. During an eclipse, Aisling spots a falling star that appears to crash onto her farmland. When she goes to investigate, she is surprised to discover a small twinkling star at the bottom of a crater. From the glowing light, Archangel Michael (John Rhys-Davies, Raiders of the Lost Ark & The Lord of the Rings) emerges and selects Aisling as the protector of the living star. He places the astral body into a locket and gives it to the girl for safekeeping.
Joshua (Diego Boneta, Terminator: Dark Fate) is a neighbor living in a nearby decaying grand chateau who also witnesses the celestial event. He finds Aisling, and together they witness how the tiny star can transform lead into gold and bring hope to a desperate situation. Not every neighbor is as trustworthy, however. A trio of criminals are willing to do
anything to gain control of the star and achieve their dreams of riches and power. Aisling and Joshua face a challenging night protecting the tiny star from the men with nefarious intentions. Can Aisling handle an exciting and extraordinary life?
Starbright is a fantasy fairytale adventure from director Francesco Lucente (Badland — also released by Ruby Max Entertainment).
The Blu-ray has been mastered from the original 4K Dolby Vision / Dolby Atmos master and includes a companion CD featuring the heavenly original soundtrack by acclaimed composer Ludek Drizhal.
