For the week that ended on May 23rd, Disney and 20th Century Studios' Avatar: Fire and Ash topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts. The third film in the Avatar franchise is a sequel to Avatar: The Way of Water and opened in December 2025 to mixed reviews but box office success, spending five weeks atop the box office and grossing over $404 million domestically, along with an impressive haul of over $1.08 billion internationally. Directed by noted 3D enthusiast James Cameron, Avatar: Fire and Ash also received an increasingly rare day-and-date release on the Blu-ray 3D format, which saw the 197-minute feature split over two discs and presented with a DTS-HD MA 7.1 audio track. This week, Avatar: Fire and Ash had an HD share of 70% and 39% of units sold from the 4K UHD format, enough to also make it the week's top 4K UHD release.

Racing into second place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Speed Racer (2008). Originally released on Blu-ray as a new release back in 2008, fans had waited eagerly for this 4K UHD upgrade, which not only offers Dolby Vision HDR and a Dolby Atmos audio remix, but also the film's original audio mix as a lossless DTS-HD MA 5.1 track, as well as new and old extra features. This week, Speed Racer sold 24% as many Blu-ray units as Avatar: Fire and Ash, with an HD share of 99.98% and 99.34% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Debuting in third place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Alliance Entertainment's Fallout: Season Two (2025-2026). Already renewed for a third season in May 2025, this second season of the video game adaptation premiered several months later in December 2025 and ran until February 2026, receiving positive reviews. This week, Fallout: Season Two sold 10% as many Blu-ray units as Avatar: Fire and Ash, with an HD share of 53% and 35% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Elsewhere on the Blu-ray-only chart, Disney's Blu-ray edition of the Avatar: 3-Movie Collection (2009-2025) (released on 4K UHD later this month), Warner's The Bride!, Decal Releasing's Blu-ray of Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Scarlet (2025) debuted at Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 7, while Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Blu-ray of Reminders of Him debuted at No. 10. Outside the top ten, Sony's The Da Vinci Code, which received a new 4K UHD edition this week, came in at No. 12, while the Warner Archive Collection's Blu-ray box set of Looney Tunes Cartoons: The Complete Series (2020-2024) debuted at No. 15 and the Criterion Collection's remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD releases of Body Heat brought that film up to No. 16.
