GKIDS has provided a promotional trailer for the new 4K restoration of Michael Arias' Tekkonkinkreet (2006), which will screen in theaters across the nation on May 31 and June 1.
The label has not yet revealed preliminary street dates for upcoming 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of the 4K restoration.
Also included with this article is a brand new poster for the film's 20th anniversary.
Description: Black, a tough and skilled fighter, and his naïve younger brother White, are two orphaned street kids patrolling the slums of Treasure Town. When gangsters threaten to tear down what's left of the city to build a theme park, the kids are thrown into a nonstop battle to survive, taking on yakuza, alien assassins, and ultimately their own selves.
Featuring stunning, action-packed visuals from STUDIO4°C (Mind Game) and based on the legendary manga by Taiyo Matsumoto, Tekkonkinkreet is a modern cult classic – a sensitive story of brotherhood and connection in a decaying world, now beautifully remastered in 4K.
