Australian label Via Vision Entertainment has informed us that it is preparing a Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray/Blu-ray combo pack release of Robert Mandel's The Substitute (1996), starring Tom Berenger, Ernie Hudson, Raymond Cruz, William Forsythe, and Luis Guzmán. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on June 24.
Description: Shale (Tom Berenger), a battle-scarred mercenary, finds that the war has moved closer to home when his girlfriend is attacked by a ruthless band of teenagers. Determined to root out this menace, Shale goes undercover at a local high school. Posing as a teacher, he and his team of mercenaries set a trap to catch the ringleaders in this explosive thriller from director Robert Mandel (School Ties).
Also starring Ernie Hudson, Diane Venora, Glenn Plummer, Marc Anthony, and Luis Guzmán.
This exclusive, individually numbered Limited Edition release includes the film on both 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray, a 449 x 665mm poster, housed in a Hardcase.
