Hammer is preparing 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases of Gordon Hessler's Murders in the Rue Morgue (1971), starring Jason Robards, Herbert Lom, Christine Kaufmann, Adolfo Celi, and Maria Perschy. The two releases are expected to arrive on the market this Summer.
Description: Loosely based on a story by Edgar Allan Poe, this meta murder mystery stars Jason Robards and Herbert Lom, spinning a chilling tale where the line between performance and reality blurs, and the players become the real-life victims.
Cry of the Banshee director Gordon Hessler reunites with writer Christopher Wicking, this time writing alongside Henry Slesar, in the latest addition to the Hammer Presents range.
